Purpose Statement

The purpose of this church shall be to foster, promote, and present the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to every person; to build up believers through the teaching of God’s word; and to promote the spiritual health of this community in any way possible.

Statement of Faith

1. ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Scriptures, both of the Old and New Testaments. By this we understand that the Holy Spirit not only inspired the thought of the writers, but also formulated the very word structure into which the thoughts were cast; with the result that the original documents were inerrant as to fact and infallible as to truth.

1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 4:21

2. ABOUT THE GOD HEAD (Trinity)

We believe in one triune God- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Sprit; eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having precisely the same attributes and perfections.

Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Titus 2:13; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 2 Peter 1:1

3. ABOUT THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. We believe that the Lord accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a propititiary and substitutionary sacrifice, and that our redemption is made sure to us by His bodily resurrection from the dead.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven; exalted at the right hand of God, where, as High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of representative Intercessor and Advocate.

John1:1-12; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 1:3-; Hebrews 7:25, 9:24; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2

4. ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy spirit, the third person of the trinity, in this present age, fully indwells all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, baptizes them in to the Body of Christ (the Church), and seals them unto the day of redemption. And we believe that every believer is commanded of God to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to walk in that fullness in a life that displays the qualities of the living Christ.

Romans 8:1; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30, 5:18-21

5. ABOUT MAN’S CREATION AND FALL

We believe that man was created in the image and the likeness of God but through Adam’s sin became alienated from God, acquired a sinful nature, and came under the sentence of death.

We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and only by receiving Christ as Savior can they be forgiven of all their sin.

Genesis 1:25-27;Romans 3:23, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3,12; John 3:36

6. ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that salvation is the gift of God offered to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this faith does result in works pleasing to God.

We also believe that all true believers in Christ Jesus shall be saved.

Ephesians 1:13, 2:8-10, 4:30; Titus 2:11-14; Romans 8:1, 38-39; John 10:27-30; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8; Philippians 1:6; 2 Timothy 1:12

7. ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again believers in this age, irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations.

Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

8. ABOUT THE ORDINANCES

This church shall observe two ordinances which will include Communion and Baptism.

1 Corinthians 11:23-28; Matthew 28:19-20

9. ABOUT CHRIST’S RETURN

We believe and look forward to the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the rapture of the church. Though we do not know the day or the hour of this event we believe both the living and the dead in Christ will rise to evermore be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 3:10; Acts 1:9-11; Matthew 24:36; Romans 14:10; 1 Corinthians 3:12-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10

10. ABOUT THE FINAL STATE OF MAN

We believe that the condition and retribution of the lost and the salvation and blessedness of the saved are conscious and everlasting.

Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:15, 22:3-5, 11

11. CONCLUSION STATEMENT

We believe in doing something about these Biblical truths. We believe this doctrine is to be preserved and taught in it’s purity, but we also believe that it teaches a life to be lived and a gospel to be preached.
